Black and white. Very clean - with Silver elements that can POP on screen. Like, a silver tie, belt buckle, cuff bracelet, make up, hair. Silver silver silver. A silver shirt. Silver necklace(s).
And this is just a stop-motion photography project that happened one night on a friend's rooftop during a birthday party/photoshoot. It's silly. We're all having a bunch of fun (and yes, that's me in there)...But I think it's an interesting approach to a nighttime rooftop shoot, especially the stop-motion/photography element...
Gareth Pugh is one designer who has delved into fashion video with his collections. While I'm not necessarily looking to his videos for direct inspiration on the Model City shoot, I do find it interesting that his videos are beginning to effect mainstream culture. Take a look at the video below from his Fall 2009 collection, then check out Beyonce's latest video for "Sweet Dreams", obviously inspired by Pugh.
I think the fashion video stuff is pretty cutting edge and on the brink of exploding out of the couture bubble. Using this innovative approach to the style of our shoot will pair well with the innovation of the show.
